Fairglen is a ground-breaking home development project situated in Hayle, Cornwall. This development was part-funded by the Low Carbon Buildings Programme. The 3 to 4 bedroom homes use a combination of ground source heat pumps, PV solar panels, rainwater harvesting and high levels of insulation to maintain themselves.
Our team installed a Danfoss ground source heat pump with boreholes to provide hot water and underfloor heating for the properties. These are one of the most efficient units available. They provide low running costs and reduce carbon emissions substantially when compared to conventional fossil fuel heating systems. The end result was very successful; the system was easy to operate through an advanced yet user friendly controller.
